Pere identifies 3 sins Angel committed against him

If there is any BBNaija housemate that Pere cannot wait to see get evicted, it is Angel.

It is not because she showed her privaye parts to whoever cared to view it about a day ago.

It is also ot because the 21-year-old has vowed that she won’t have sex with anyone in the house.

Yet, Pere wants Angel out of the BBNaija 2021 as quickly as possible.

He identified some three reasons for this, which Phenomenal.com.ng describesb as the three sins.

And it is because of them he nominated her for possiblke eviction.

Pere on Tuesday opened the book of Angel’s sins against him, saying she was lazy, rude and lackadaisical.
He said during a diary session, “I nominated Angel for one reason; she’s very lackadaisical. She’s really rude, very lackadaisical, and somewhat very lazy. She doesn’t like to do chores.

“When Emmanuel was the Head of House, I was asked to clean where I normally would clean everyday without being told, most of the time – the hallway and wardrobe area.

“I’ve done that by myself always but this particular day, I believe it was a Sunday, Angel was asked to assist me in doing that.

“While I was waiting for the broom, I was in the salon. She came to the salon and was like, ‘Pere, are you going to clean the wardrobe area?’

“I told her, ‘Yea, I’m going to clean the wardrobe area.’ I do that by myself most of the time without being told.

“I was just waiting for the broom knowing fully well that we were supposed to clean it together. I got the broom and swept everything and she didn’t do anything.”

Okowa mourns as literary giant, Sam Ukala, dies

The Nigerian theatre has lost another gem.

Proficient, culturalist and award-winning playwright, Prof. Sam Ukala, passed on on Monday after what sources called a brief illness.

His death came less than a year that legendary writer, J.P. Clark departed.

Also on movie scene, the country recently lost four actors, incluring Victor Olaotan and Rachel Oniga.

Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has expressed sadness over the death of Ukala.

The governor’s condolence was conveyed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, on Tuesday in Asaba,

He describing Ukala’s passage as a monumental loss to Delta, Nigeria and global literary community.

He noted that Ukala, who died Monday night after a brief illness, was a Professor of Theatre Arts and Drama at Delta State University, Abraka, until his recent retirement. He was 73 years.

He eulogised the late writer and actor for his immense contributions to the growth and development of literature in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.

He said the works of Ukala promoted Delta, particularly, the country and Africa, adding that he would be remembered and celebrated by lovers of literature across the world.

The governor said Ukala, winner of the 2014 Nigeria Prize for Literature and the 1989 ANA/British Council Prize for Drama with his bestselling books “Iredi War” and “Akpakaland” was a consummate patriot, great literary icon and teacher par excellence.

He said that with the demise of the legendary academic, death, the inevitable, had dealt a devastating blow on the literary community and left a lacuna that might be difficult to fill.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I commiserate with the Ukala family of Mbiri, the Ika nation and the entire literary world over the demise of the cerebral writer.

“The late Ukala propounded the theory of ‘folkism’ which was to base literary plays on indigenous history and culture, composed and performed them in accordance with African folktale which has gained significant global recognition.

“Until his death, he was a member of the Governing Council of the three new universities we recently established and contributed his best in ensuring that the universities took off as planned.

“It is my belief that the late Sam Ukala will be long remembered and honoured for his huge impact not just in African folktale but dramatic arts,” he said.

Okowa prayed that God would grant eternal rest to the soul of the departed Ukala and comfort his family and all who mourned him.
