IPOB’s stay-at-home: Actress Rita Edochie blames government, parents for allowing pupils to go for exam

Rita Edochie

Seasoned actress, Rita Edochie, has blamed Imo State Government and parents for allowing students to go out on Tuesday to sit for their ongoing WASSCE.

IPOB had ordered sit-at-home and she thinks it is too dangerous to have allowed the candidates to go out.

She was particularly pressed upon seeing some of the young ones running helter-skelter while being threatened by some hoodlums.

She argued in a post:

”IT’S NOT JUST TO ASK PEOPLE TO GO ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS .

NOW LOOK AT THESE CHILDREN YOU ASKED TO COME OUT FOR EXAMS RUNNING OUT OF THEIR SCHOOL.

WAS THERE ANY SECURITY TO SECURE THESE CHILDREN ?
NOW IF ANYTHING HAD HAPPENED TO ANY OF THEM, THE SAME PEOPLE WILL ONLY SAY SORRY TO THEIR FAMILY.

IN FACT I BLAME THE PARENTS THAT ALLOWED THEIR CHILDREN TO GO THROUGH THIS.”
