Barcelona mourn club worker who died at site

​FC Barcelona have mourned  a club worker who died following a tragic fatal incident at site.
The club extended deep condolences and promised the family of the deceased support.
​The 54-year-old worker tragically lost his life on Friday during ongoing redevelopment work at Spotify Camp Nou.
According to Catalan regional police investigation,  the fatal injury was caused by a severe blow on-site.
Emergency medical personnel rushed to the venue, but despite their efforts, the worker could not be saved.
​A full investigation by local authorities is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
​In an official statement released by the Catalan giants, the club expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy:
​”FC Barcelona deeply regrets the death of the worker who lost his life yesterday in the workplace accident that occurred during the renovation works at Spotify Camp Nou.”
​”The club wishes to express its deepest condolences and extend its heartfelt support to his family, friends, and colleagues. FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta wishes to personally convey his condolences to the family and places himself at their disposal on behalf of the entire club.”
​The multi-million euro redevelopment of Spotify Camp Nou which began in June 2023 and aims to expand stadium capacity to 105,000is scheduled for total completion in early 2028.
