Controversial singer, Portable, has recalled how he was paid to insult the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He said he took the money and did as told.

He recalled this as he justified the performance he gave as part of the campaign of the party’s candidate in Saturday’s governorship election, Adegboyega Oyetola.

As the Governorship election in Osun state is around the corner, different celebrities have identified with different candidates.

He now has to react to the backlash greeting the show and his praising of Tinubu.

In a video, Portable recounted how he was paid to insult the former governor of Lagos State during what has been interpreted to be the EndSARS protests.

He said:

“If they pay you money, you have to work.

I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests.

That was a long time ago.

Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.⁣

If they pay you, do your job, no ripping.

When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job.

Now Tinubu is the next.

They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC.”
