The Head of Treasury, Omode Emmanuel Oladimeji, bought 986 shares worth N996,491.01.
The deal was reported to the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
The purchase, executed on 4 May 2026, was made across two price tranches: 263 units at N1,008.15 per share and 723 units at N1,013.13 per share, giving a weighted average price of N1,010.64 per unit.
Insider trades are closely watched by analysts and retail investors as a window into executive sentiment.
When those with the deepest knowledge of a company’s finances choose to buy, it often signals quiet confidence in the firm’s outlook.
The disclosure, signed by Company Secretary Edward Imoedemhe, was filed under Rule 111 of the NGX Rules Governing Director and Insider Dealings, which requires listed companies to publicly declare transactions by internal stakeholders.
While the amount is modest by market standards, the message is clear: those closest to Dangote Cement are betting on its future.
