The three day Fidau prayer for late veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is currently underway in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Family members, friends, colleagues and well-wishers have gathered to pray for the repose of the late actor’s soul and offer support to his loved ones following his passing.
The prayer comes shortly after Ogogo was laid to rest on Monday, August 24, following his death at the age of 66.
Since his passing, tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues and fans, with many celebrating his decades long contribution to the Yoruba film industry.
The ongoing Fidau prayer is part of the Islamic rites being observed by the family, with another prayer session expected to take place in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State, as part of the remaining burial arrangements.
