Nigerian singer, NO11, has reportedly submitted his song How Far, featuring Ayjay Bobo and Monochrome, for consideration in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2027 Grammy Awards.
The submission has attracted attention online, with the move drawing amusement from fans and other social media users.
Released around the turn of the year, How Far gained attention as NO11 continued to build his presence in the Nigerian music scene.
In an August 2026 interview with The Guardian, the singer revealed that people around him had questioned his decision to release the song on January 1.
However, submitting a song for Grammy consideration does not guarantee a nomination.
The Recording Academy is expected to announce nominees for the 69th Annual Grammy Awards on November 16, 2026, ahead of the ceremony on February 7, 2027.
