Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, says he is on the road to recovery after he posted on Instagram from his hospital bed following a successful operation on his ruptured Achilles tendon after hobbling off the first half of his side’s 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday at Stamford bridge with an injury that cut short
From his hospital bed, Hudson-Odoi said: ‘’Thank you for all the messages and the support you’ve been sending me, I really appreciate it.
‘’I am doing better, I am feeling better, so thank you very much. The road to recovery now.’
He also wrote as a caption to the video: ‘OpPeration (sic) was Successful, Thank God always and thank you all for your messages and support, the return begins now!!!’
A ruptured Achilles can take as long as nine months to recover from, but Hudson-Odoi is hopeful he can be fit to return to playing again this season.
