Tension has risen in the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house following Gerard’s eviction, as housemates Sheba and Tram clashed over loyalty and accusations of talking behind each other’s backs.
Gerard became the eighth housemate to leave the ‘Show Ya Sef’ house during Sunday’s live eviction show, bringing his six-week stay in the competition to an end.
He appeared unfazed when his name was announced and took a bow before leaving the house.
However, Gerard’s exit was not the only talking point from the live show.
During his conversation with host Ebuka Obi Uchendu, attention turned to the growing tension between Sheba and Tram.
Sheba accused Tram of having more to say about her behind her back than to her face, questioning why he had not confronted her directly.
Tram, however, said his concerns were centred on loyalty.
He explained that he had consistently had Sheba’s back but that several incidents had gradually changed the way he viewed their relationship.
The exchange has added another layer of tension to the relationships in the house, where friendships, alliances and loyalty are increasingly being tested as the competition progresses.
Gerard, meanwhile, said he had anticipated his eviction and admitted that he had become more guarded about what he said in the house.
He also described the house as increasingly political and explained that he preferred to stay out of conflicts that did not directly concern him.
Gerard’s eviction came on the same night Barry was named the Most Influential Player of Week Six.
However, the title did not come with immunity this time, as the show’s ‘The Switch’ theme has altered some of its usual rules and rewards.
With Gerard now out of the competition, the remaining housemates face another week of shifting alliances, nominations and challenges as the race for the grand prize continues.
