Big Brother Naija stars Sheggz and Bella Okagbue have officially gone their separate ways, months after their relationship became the subject of intense speculation online.
Sheggz, whose romance with Bella began during the 2022 ‘Level Up’ season of the reality show, revealed on Wednesday that their relationship ended in January 2026.
The confirmation comes after months of uncertainty surrounding the couple, with fans previously noticing changes in their social media activity and questioning the state of their relationship.
But Sheggz’s latest revelation has gone beyond simply confirming the breakup. The reality star has also addressed some of the allegations that have followed the collapse of the relationship.
Sheggz denied being unfaithful to Bella, saying he had remained single since their relationship ended.
He also rejected allegations of abuse, insisting that such claims do not reflect the values he stands for. He explained that he had initially chosen not to discuss the matter publicly, preferring to keep the relationship and its problems private.
However, he said the situation had reached a point where he felt the need to give his side of the story. According to Sheggz, the relationship eventually became strained by issues surrounding trust and honesty.
He revealed that he had been dealing with a difficult personal period in 2025, including time spent receiving medical treatment before returning to Nigeria from England in October.
It was after his return, he said, that he came across information which made him question the honesty within the relationship.
Despite the problems, Sheggz said he had been serious about building a future with Bella. He disclosed that he had even bought an engagement ring, believing that marriage could be the next step for them.
The pair reportedly tried to work things out after their January split, but Sheggz said he eventually decided that the trust and respect he needed for a lasting marriage were no longer there.
Their relationship had become one of the most recognisable romances to emerge from BBNaija, with the pair attracting a large following during and after their time on the show.
Their eventual fallout therefore came as a surprise to many of their fans, particularly after years of publicly supporting one another.
Now, with Sheggz confirming that the relationship is over, the focus has shifted to the allegations and unanswered questions surrounding what happened between the former couple.
For his part, Sheggz says he does not want the breakup to turn into a public battle.
He has wished Bella well and indicated that he would rather both sides move on peacefully.
