The remains of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, have been brought to his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, as his family begins his final burial rites.

The actor’s passing has left his family, friends, colleagues and numerous admirers mourning, with tributes continuing to pour in following the announcement of his death.

As preparations for his burial gathered momentum in Ilaro, fellow actors, friends and well-wishers arrived to pay their final respects to the veteran actor and offer condolences to his family.

Among those present was his longtime friend and colleague, Alhaji Yinka Quadri, who was visibly emotional. The veteran actor was seen with red eyes as he mourned the loss of his close friend and colleague.

The emotional scenes in Ilaro underscored the grief surrounding Ogogo’s death and the strong relationships he built during his years in the Yoruba film industry.

For many within the Yoruba film industry, Ogogo’s death represents a significant loss, with colleagues and fans remembering him for his long-standing contribution to Nollywood and his place in the history of Yoruba cinema.
