An 85-year-old voter, Pa Odejide Mosunmoye, says he wants good governance that will benefit people of all the strata entrenched in Osun.

Mosunmoye, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after casting his vote at Unit 3, Ward 9, AUD School, Atile, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area in the ongoing governorship election in the state.

“I came out in my old age to vote today for the candidate of my choice because I want to see better governance in Osun.

“I have been voting since the days of (Obafemi) Awolowo and I believe government cannot be perfect, but we have to do our best to choose better leaders.

“What will happen is in the hands of God, but we just have to play our own part,” he said.

NAN reports that elderly men and women were given priority to vote first at the polling unit.

NAN also reports that voting commenced at about 8:40 a.m., with political party agents voting, after the INEC Presiding Officer allowed them to inspect the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and ballot papers
