Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has offered a glimpse into his lavish lifestyle, memorable experiences and the relationships he has built with people around him.
Speaking on The Uncut Podcast, Davido recalled what he described as the highest value gift he has ever received.
The singer said the experience happened while he was in Dubai with about 15 of his friends when a Lebanese man invited him and his entourage to Lebanon.
Davido explained that he could not leave his friends behind because they had all travelled to Dubai together.
He said the entire group was subsequently flown to Lebanon on a private jet and accommodated in a luxury hotel, where his room reportedly cost $36,000 per night, while his friends had separate rooms.
Davido added that the hotel had an Audemars Piguet store and, by the following morning, he and members of his entourage had received luxury watches.
He said he received an Audemars Piguet watch, while his friends were given Rolex watches.
Even his cook, who had travelled with him, was gifted a Rolex.
Beyond the lavish gifts, Davido also spoke about the realities and expenses that come with his family’s luxury lifestyle.
In another conversation, the singer discussed the two private jets used by his family, noting that maintaining the aircraft can cost more than their actual purchase price.
He said the family jets have been used for major occasions, including his wedding and family holidays, although not everyone in the family always travels by private jet, with some still opting for commercial flights.
Davido also spoke about his properties in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami, revealing plans to move into another home with his family.
He said the house he currently occupies is worth about $1.2 million, while the property he plans to move into is valued at more than $3 million.
According to the singer, his children will each have their own rooms in the new family home, while he plans to convert one of his other properties into a studio.
Meanwhile, Nigerian content creator Carter Efe recently highlighted another side of Davido, describing the singer as an intentional and supportive person.
Speaking about Davido’s appearance on his livestream, Carter recalled how the singer’s presence helped him make between $45,000 and $50,000, describing it as a major financial moment for him.
Carter also spoke warmly about Davido, expressing gratitude for the singer’s support and saying he finds it remarkable that someone of Davido’s stature knows him and has shown him kindness.
