The stance of the National Legal Adviser on some recent happenings in Lagos politics may have earned him some trouble.
Banire is fighting against the process adopted by the leadership of the All Peoples Congress concerning the July 22 local government election as he claims the process wasn’t democratic. Now there is a twist to the game as the Mushin constituency of the party has asked the APC national to relieve him of his position as they accuse him of anti-party activities.
Besides, they are threatening to banish him from the APC.
With the state of things, the question may arise on whether or not Banire will try the route of Obanikoro, who defected to the PDP after falling out with the then AD/AC leadership in Lagos. Ironically, Obanikoro is back in the fold now.
