Days after a Senator, Adebayo Osinowo, dies, Nigeria has lost another lawmaker.
He was Chijioke Ugwueze, the lawmaker representing Isi-Uzo Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly.
His death also came three days after the death of the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Chief Patrick Omeje.
Ugwueze, 49, died on Friday, June 19 after suffering a heart failure, with family sources saying he was hypertensive.
Reports also noted that he woke up on Friday morning complaining he had malaria symptoms. He was rushed to a private hospital in Enugu and was later transferred to Enugu state Teaching Hospital Parklane, where he died in the evening.
