The Lagos State Government has said that it costs between N40,000 and N50,000 to conduct a coronavirus test in the state.
This was revealed on Thursday by the state Commissioner of Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, who noted that the state government was bearing the cost.
Abayomi said, so far, the government had committed 16,000 tests.
He, however, expressed the hope that some partners would come in to subsidise the process.
He said that testing capacity had increased just as beds were also increasing.
Abayomi also note that four laboratories were now active in the state.
