The fierce battle for who would be the next governor of Ogun State has finally produced a winner.
He is Dapo Abiodun, who competed on the platform o the All Progressives Congress.
He beat his arch rival, Adekunle Akinlade of the APM, who was favoured and supported by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who is still a member of the APC.
Although the APM had rejected the result even before it was announced, the Resident Electoral Commissioner announced in the early hours of Monday that the APC secured 241,670 votes while Adekunle got 222,153.
