The Lagos State Police command has arraigned actress, Funke Akindele, and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz, before a Chief Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos State.
They pleaded guilty to flouting social distancing regulation. The couple admitted guilt before Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa in Ikeja.
The chief magistrate stood down the case after the arraignment of the couple as she may give sentence when proceedings resume after some minutes.
They were arraigned for breaching the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020 (the Regulations) which prescribes a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine for persons found guilty of hosting gatherings or flouting the lockdown order.
Funke was arrested on Sunday following a party she organised to mark JJC’s birthday on Saturday.
