American singer and actress Selena Gomez has revealed that excessive nicotine vaping changed her voice, urging fans to avoid the habit.

In a video shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday, October 18, the 34-year-old admitted that quitting nicotine had been difficult.

“I’m not going to be able to change my voice. I vaped nicotine a lot. Nicotine is so hard to quit, and I think I just wanted to say, if you’re going through it, or if you’re even trying to vape, it’s just not worth it. It’s so stupid, and it’s changed my voice,” she said.

Gomez acknowledged that some fans might no longer enjoy listening to her voice because of the changes but said she was determined to quit vaping.

She had previously addressed concerns about her voice during an Instagram Live session in December, saying her throat sometimes swelled internally.

The singer has also spoken publicly about her health challenges, including lupus, a kidney transplant in 2017 and her bipolar disorder diagnosis.
