Paris St Germain forwards, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani have been ruled out of their opening Champions League group stage match against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
Mbappe picked up a hamstring injury against Toulouse last month and has not played since for PSG, while Cavani also have a hip problem.
According to PSG, the two strikers will resume training by the end of the week.
Some would say so sad for the French side that Brazilian forward, Neymar, will also be absent.
Neymar is serving a three-match Champions League ban for insulting match officials following his side’s defeat by Manchester United last season.
The trio scored 11 goals out of PSG’s 20 in the Champions League last season.
Luckily for Real Madrid, former Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, has been declared fit to play, which will be the first he will play for the Spanish side.
