An 18-year-old meat seller, Femi Oluwaseun, on Friday appeared in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing four cell phones worth N167, 000.
Olowaseun, who resides at No. 23, Oke Adura St., Alagbado a suburb of Lagos, is charged with conspiracy and theft.
The Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Mike Unah, told the court that the defendant committed offence on July 20, at Kola Bus-Stop, Alagbado area of Lagos.
Unah alleged that the defendant stole a Samsung Galaxy phone valued at N36,000 from Mr Chinonso Isaac and a Spark phone worth N60,000, from Mr Ayomide Ajibola at the bus-stop.
He also alleged that the defendant stole an Infinix Hot phone valued at N45,000 and a Samsung phone valued at N26,000 from some other persons.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 287, 328 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate A.A. Fashola admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until Sept. 11 for mention.
