‎An empty tipper truck was left hanging from the railings of Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday morning, while another truck spilled its contents onto the road in a separate incident nearby.
‎
‎The incidents occurred inward Mowe in Ogun State at about 7 a.m., according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
‎
‎The agency said the hanging tipper required evacuation, while a second vehicle, identified as a flatbed truck, spilled its load onto the road.
‎
‎A tow truck was deployed to assist with the evacuation, while police officers from Adigboluja were also present at the scene.
‎
‎LASTMA said its officers were managing traffic towards Mowe and that movement remained smooth at the time of its update.
‎
‎The agency did not disclose what caused either incident or confirm whether anyone was injured.
‎
‎The incidents have again drawn attention to road safety along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a major route used daily by commuters, commercial drivers and heavy-duty vehicles travelling between Lagos and Ogun states.
‎
‎Motorists were advised to exercise caution around affected areas and follow instructions from traffic officials.
