Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has expressed confidence in his future after missing out on the 2026 Ballon d’Or award in London.
In a social media post on Tuesday night, October 17, the Spain international shared a message reflecting his belief in the path ahead of him.
Yamal finished third in the overall voting, behind England captain Harry Kane and France captain Kylian Mbappé. Despite missing out on the main prize, the 19-year-old remained confident that he would eventually win the prestigious individual award.
“It will come; good things take time. I trust the path I am building. My time will come,” Yamal wrote.
The forward also congratulated Kane following the Bayern Munich striker’s victory.
During the ceremony, Yamal won the Kopa Trophy, adding another individual honour to a season in which he also won the La Liga title with Barcelona.
