Billionaire businessman and First HoldCo Chairman, Femi Otedola, met with President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at a private dinner in Paris, France, on Monday, September 28.
Otedola disclosed the meeting in a post on X on Tuesday, sharing a photograph of himself with Tinubu and expressing support for the President’s economic policies.
The State House also confirmed that Tinubu met with Otedola during his stay in Paris. In his post, Otedola said Tinubu’s “bold and forward-thinking reforms” had placed the Nigerian economy on what he described as a path of sustainable growth.
He cited the inclusion of Nigerian companies in the FTSE Russell Frontier 50 Index, the performance of the Nigerian Exchange, increased foreign direct investment and developments in the foreign exchange market as indicators of progress.
Otedola also referred to Nigeria’s foreign reserves, which he said stood at about $55 billion, before concluding his message with: “I remain proud of you, Mr. President!”.
The meeting came a day before Tinubu departed Paris for Nigeria after concluding his working vacation in Europe, according to the State House.
