Chelsea star playmaker Cole Palmer has withdrawn from Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.
The decision was made between player, club, and national team staff to manage his physical workload and treat a minor muscle issue.
The news was first confirmed by David Ornstein at The Athletic.
Palmer played the entire 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 3-0 Premier League defeat against Brentford on Friday. He has played all but seven minutes of Chelsea’s league campaign so far.
He has kicked off the 2026/27 campaign in brilliant form, registering 4 goals and 2 assists in 7 appearances.
