Afrobeats singer Peter Okoye has expressed unease over the fact that he cannot change his birthday on his passport and other documents.

The musician, as an extension of the effects of the feud between him and his twin brother Paul, had recently announced ‘changing’ his birthday to November 30 instead of his actual birth date, November 18.

Speaking on the Capital XTRA Podcast, the former P-Square member said November 18 had become a difficult day for him over the past 17 years.

Peter said the discomfort stemmed from gossip and tension that often followed their shared birthday celebrations with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

According to him, some people would visit Paul’s residence to discuss matters concerning him before coming to his side.

“I changed my birthday from November 18th to November 30th because for 16-17 years, it’s been the worst day of my life. People go to Paul’s house to gossip about me before coming to my side. I wish I could change it on my documents and passport,” he said.
