A woman, Aisha Salisu, has dragged her neighbour, Firdausi Muhammad, before a Shari’a Court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna, over alleged defamation of character.

Salisu told the court that she wanted Muhammad to explain why she allegedly referred to her and her mother as prostitutes.

“I want her to tell the court why she calls my mother and I prostitutes,” she said.

Muhammad denied the allegation.

The judge, Malam Mu’awiyah Shehu, directed the complainant to produce witnesses who could testify that Muhammad defamed her.

He adjourned the case until Sept. 22 for the complainant to present her witnesses.
