Nigerian actor and comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has given his followers a glimpse of an unusual experience from his recent trip to Atlanta, United States.
The comedian, who was in the city around his birthday, shared a video of himself taking a ride in a Jaguar with no physical driver behind the wheel.
In the video, AY appeared impressed as the vehicle navigated the road on its own, giving him a firsthand experience of how technology is changing everyday transportation.
He explained that he was able to unlock the vehicle with his phone before settling in for the ride, with no one occupying the driver’s seat.
True to his humorous style, AY used the experience to make a playful comparison between technological advancement in the United States and Africa’s traditional beliefs.
He jokingly remarked that while America continues to advance its technology, Africa’s ‘juju’ is often associated with wickedness, before wondering when the continent’s own ‘juju’ would also “upgrade”.
The video has since attracted reactions from viewers, with many amused by the comedian’s take on the driverless technology.
