Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has said that he wore a mouth guard during his controversial celeb boxing bout with ‘Zazoo’ singer, Portable.
He reacted to a claim by the latter that he (Okocha) bit him during the duel.
Portable abandoned it in the first round, claiming Okocha bit him while also allegedly locking his neck.
Speaking on TVC Entertainment, Okocha called the allegation false.
“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying,” he said.
He added, “I would rather chew grass than bite him. He should just accept defeat.”
The bout was held on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Lagos.
Okocha won after Portable was disqualified for ditching wrestling rules and using punches, then walking out of the ring.
