A contract to supply water has become a court case in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Mr Olusola Adebayo, 45, a sachet water producer, on Tuesday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan over an alleged water supply fraud.
Adebayo was charged with obtaining money under false pretence and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometimes in March, 2025, at Ido, Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant obtained the sum of N270,000 from a customer, Ismail Olalere, with the pretext of supplying him some bags of water but failed to do so.
He said the defendant rather converted the money to his personal use and therefore committed an offence contrary to Sections 419 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Oct.15, for hearing.
