International Peace Day: NSCDC tasks Zamfara stakeholders on peace building

The Zamfara Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says that all hands must be on deck to ensure that peace returns to the state.

Mr Sani Mustapha, the State Commandant of the corps, said this on Monday in Gusau while briefing newsmen as part of activities to commemorate the International World Peace Day.

Mustapha said that the theme for the 2025 World Peace Day celebration, “Act Now for a Peaceful World,” was apt and aligned with the yearnings of every good-spirited person who seriously needs peace, especially in Zamfara.

He said that the corps was poised to support the government in the pursuit of peace and tranquility in the country.
He also extolled the impeccable leadership of the Commandant General, Prof. Abubakar Audi, for his professional encouragement to the officers and men of the corps.
He advised residents of the state to embrace peace, act in accordance with the 2025 theme for the peace day celebration, and to ensure a conducive society for business to thrive.
The 2025 World Peace Day in the state was marked with an award presentation to the state commandant by members of the corps, as well as a road walk to create public awareness of the day.
