An Ilorin-based Legal Practitioner, Mr Qudus Mustapha, has advised youths not to get carried away by the fake lifestyles on social media.
Mustapha, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said social media fake life had pushed so many youths into danger.
According to him, most youths copy everything they see on social media including their friends’ lifestyle.
“Don’t be tempted by their fake lifestyle. Most of your friends and followers on social media are not real.
“Use your senses and don’t fall into temptation. They will push you to do things that will ruin your career and future.
“Know yourself, work hard, pursue your dreams and never be desperate to impress anybody,” he said.
The lawyer, however, advised parents to always guide their children, rather than pushing them into competition with friends
