Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has commended the Nigerian military for its unwavering dedication and sacrifices in protecting lives and property across the country.
Represented by his Deputy, Mr. Kola Adewusi, Adeleke gave the commendation on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by AVM P. Oahimire in Osogbo.
Oahimire, who is the Director-General of the Nigerian Air Force Research and Development Institute, visited the state to enhance collaboration with the government. Adeleke pledged continued support for the military’s efforts and partnership initiatives.
The governor pledged full support for the Institute and assured that all airport-related issues would soon be resolved in favour of public interest.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with military institutions for technological growth and enhanced regional security.
In response, the Director-General lauded the state government’s proactive efforts across several sectors, particularly in sustaining peace and stability throughout the state.
Oahimire proposed establishing a joint task force to pre-emptively combat crime and improve security across Osun.
He appreciated the deputy governor’s recent visit to the Officers Mess and acknowledged the government’s support for its development.
He reminded the governor of the state’s promise to construct a swimming pool and lawn tennis court at the Officers Mess, as earlier pledged.
