Nigeria is expected to witness another landmark judgement today (Friday) as the Supreme Court will deliver judgement in the governorship tussle in Sun State.
The court had received judgement last month after examining all facts of he case.
Since the Supreme Court is the final point, the camps of both the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress are said to be in rather heated spirits.
The subject matter has passed through some lower courts while the subjects have varied between the election process and certificate status etc.
Already, the police have beefed up security in the state, to forestall any crisis that might greet the supreme judgement.
Observers believe the case is a landmark in many ramifications.
For the political parties, for the key actors – Governor Adegboyga Oyetola and senator Ademola Adeleke – their families, party big wigs and many more, whichever way the rule swings will have a way of affecting many dreams and many destinies.
Interestingly, almost since Sun State was established, governorship elections there has always been marked by intrigues and sensation. And, since the time of Oyinlola and Aregbesola, the judiciary has been playing major roles in deciding who occupies the Abere Government House.
A few hours to this time, the same judiciary will shed light and lift the mask of suspense off the polity.
