Mr Muhammad Oyanki, tbe Deputy Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, says he revived four transformers in his constituency to address electricity problem in the area.
Oyanki also said graded some street roads and remodeled some clinics to improve the standard of living of his people.
The deputy speaker disclosed this on Monday while conducting journalists round the various development project sites he initiated in his constituency in Doma LGA
While inspecting the projects, Oyanki (PDP-Doma North), assured of more interventions for his constituents.
“I have remodeled different clinics as well as sunk boreholes and grade roads in my constituency.
“This is a home coming and I am also here today for condolences, to sympathise with some people of my constituency over the deaths of their family members.
“I am able to revive four transformers as electricity is very important. You need light to survive as far as I am concerned and businesses need light to thrive,” he said.
The deputy speaker assured the youths and other people of his constituency of empowerment and other projects in order to better their standard of living.
“Youth development and value addition is our watch words,” the lawmaker said.
He urged the people in his constituency to continue to keep trust in him, adding that he will continue to do his best for them.
“I want to urge my people to continue to support me, keep trusting me as I will continue to do my best for them,” he added.
The deputy speaker solicited for the support of his people to enable him succeed.
He assured the people of his constituency of more dividends of democracy.
Responding , Mr Agabi Samuel, the Deputy Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Doma Chapter, and Mr Saidu Omame, a resident of Doma, appreciated Oyanki for coming to their aid and prayed God to bless him.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some of the projects visited included 500KVA transformer at Rice Mill Tudu Laraba; rehabilitation of Government College Street Road, Alhaji Abubakar Mairobo street, among others.
In a related development, the deputy speaker paid condolence visits on some families in Doma Local Government Area.
Among those he console were the family of late Prince Ibrahim Yahaya, son to late Commissioner of Police, Mr Yahaya Ari, over his death in Doma today.
The deputy speaker urged the family to take solace in God and prayed God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
Responding on behalf of the family, Mrs Mairo Yahaya, appreciated the deputy speaker for identifying with them at their trial moment and prayed God to bless him abundantly.
