A great thing has happened in the Nigerian entertainment industry as a 17-year-old rift seems to be over.
This happens as seasoned comedian Bright Okpocha, a.k.a Basketmouth is seeking an end to the bad blood between himself and his colleague, Ayo Makun.
After he had insisted he never wronged the latter, he has now declared:
The two have been at odds for more than ten years over a debt Makun alleges Basketmouth owes him.
During a March 2023 interview with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Makun claimed that earlier in his career, Basketmouth had invited him to take his place at a comedy show.
After the show, AY claimed that Basketmouth refused to pay him the N30,000 fee for the performance even though the show’s organisers had made the payment to the latter even before the event.
Reacting to the allegation, Basketmouth said he would rather not respond. He also expressed his desire to never talk to AY again.
“To be honest, I don’t want that guy to ever hear from you,” he said in the viral video.
