Although JAGUNJAGUN is a charged epic, the producer, Femi Adebayo, demonstrated smartness in the selection of its cast. While he brought in seasoned actors such as Odunlade Adekola, Muyiwa Ademola and Fathia Williams – as well as veterans that include Adebayo Salami and Dele Odule – he also rallied some top skit makers for the tough battle that the movie is.

The top three in this regard are Mr Macaroni (Debo Adebayo), Woli Agba (Ayo Ajewole) and Yemi Elesho. While Macaroni (Moyale in the movie) and Elesho (Wehinwo) are supporting fighters to  Femi Adebayo (Ogundiji), Woli Agba (Agbeloba) is a failed lover. Among the three, he is the only one who has the luxury of injecting some comedy into the film, as he tries to impress the lady he woos (played by Aisha Lawal).

Woli Agba

Macaroni and Elesho are able to prove their versatility because they act well their warrior parts. Well, Macaroni is also at a point made to do a bit of dangerous comedy in JAGUNJAGUN, when he and two other lieutenants, including Kunle Afod, who is Ditemola, decide to frolic when they are supposed to take proper charge of a war Ogundiji declares. The error causes their boss many lives and they dearly pay for it.

The choice, on the whole, is a plus for the producer as they are very likely to lure their skit fans to watch the movie.

Elesho

Beyond their participation in the film, the trio have proved themselves to be highly talented and resourceful comedians.

They are have made the best use of technology to bridge the gap between them and the veterans and to turn their gifts into gold.
