All Progressives Congress’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said that he once rescued his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party from former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s alleged oppression.
According to him, Atiku suffered the oppression when he was Obasanjo’s Vice President.
Obasanjo and Atiku were in power between 1999 and 2003.
Speaking during his campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Monday, Tinubu said, “I rescued him when Obasanjo wanted to roast him like goat meat. He ran away to Dubai. When election came again, he came for stomach infrastructure. He came to us in Lagos, we rehabilitated him. We gave him money. He got the ticket. He wasted the money and ran. He got F at all levels of the election.
Apparently referring to Governor Edom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Tinubu added jovially, “That boy wey bring Atiku here. Tell him enough is enough. He lives in my backyard in Lagos. If not because we are all one, I would send him back to the village.”
