NGO), Hasken Al’umma, has donated clothes to no fewer than 4,500 orphans within Kano metropolis.
Distributing the items, Founder of the organisation, Aisha Aminu-Ahli, said that the gesture was aimed at helping the orphans to have joyous Sallah celebrations.
Ahli said that the exercise was also to give the beneficiaries a sense of belonging.
She also said that the essence of the efforts was to comfort them and let them have it in mind that the society cared for them.
While commending those who contributed to the success of the project, Ahli urged wealthy individuals in the society to support the orphans, the widows and the needy.
According to her, the foundation has supported 10,000 orphans since its establishment.

She also said that the organisation had plans to expand its work to other areas of need.
Lami Sani, whose three children benefited from the gift, commended the founder for being supportive to her, urging to keep up the good work.
