NDC speaks after INEC left out names of its governorship candidate

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, has urged its members to remain calm following the omission of its governorship candidate, Alhaji Aminu Abdussalam-Gwarzo from the list INEC released on Saturday.
Mr Yusif Fasaha, the party’s Public Relations Officer, stated this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano.
“I want to assure you that as the PRO of the party, the problem is not from us.
“We have consulted the INEC and they told us that the problem was from computer, and they will rectify it.
“So, everybody should remain calm, as from now to Monday, another list containing his name will be out,” he said.
He said that Abdussalam-Gwarzo had fulfilled all the requirements of the election, and was done at the right time.
“We have seen it and will continue with consultation on the matter,” he said.
NAN observed that the list contained 17 gubernatorial candidates and their running mates from different political parties.
Gov Abba Yusuf’s name was in the list as APC candidate and he is contesting with his deputy, Murtala Sule-Garo.
Other parties whose candidates are on the list included, ADC, PDP, APGA, BP, AA, AAC, LP, ZLP, SDP, APM, NDP, PRP, APP, DLA, ADP.
