Popular crossdresser, James Brown has denied being a crossdresser.

He said this following the passing of a bill that seeks to jail crossdressers.

According to him, he is a drag queen – a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and gender roles for entertainment purposes.

In modern times, drag queens are associated with gay men and gay culture, but people of many genders and sexual identities perform as drag queens.

James in a Tweet, says he is a Drag Queen that uses his beauty and personality to make people laugh.

He wrote:

“Point of correction, I am NOT a cross dresser.

I am a Drag Queen.

Do your research before you come for me.

My job is to entertain using my personality and my beauty, you already know the vibes !

I am a COMEDIAN.

You thought I was making you laugh for no reason,

I am PRINCESS OF AFRICA,

This bill has nothing on me.
