The Kano State Government has reacted to reports that Mrs Hafsat Ganduje, wife of the state Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
She was reported to have been arrested over an alleged land scam, based on a petition by her son, Abduazeez.
The government, however, said on Tuesday that she was not arrested.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Muhammed Garba, the story is fake.
Garba said, “Most, unfortunately, the fake story is being peddled on social media platforms without confirmation from either the government or the EFCC.”the statement in part read
