The Nigerian security situation became more precarious in the early hours of Tuesday when gunmen described as bandits invaded the otherwise sacred Nigerian Defenve Academy in Kaduna State.
Two officers were reported to have been killed while another was abducted.
The bandits invaded the permanent site of the institution located along Airport Road, Afaka, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 1.00am.
The attackers were said to have been dressed in military camouflage, beating the guards and headed for the officers’ quarters of the institution.
The bandits have grown so wild that they kidnap monarchs, clerics, policemen, soldiers while invading markets and farms.
