Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, has finally arrived at Cour De’appal De Cotonou, Benin Republic, for trial.
The businessman turned activist was arrested around 8pm on Monday at the International Criminal Police Organisation at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou, may be tried for immigration-related offences.
There has been controversy over whether he should be extradited to Nigeria, with his supporters saying there were diplomatic issues against such.
His lawyers have always said he had been undergoing inhuman treatment in the detention as they said he was being chained like a goat.
But fresh reports from the neighbouring country indicated that he had arrived in court.
