Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) sit at the top of the UEFA Champions League league-phase table with nine points, followed by Aston Villa in second place and Liverpool in third.

PSG have won all three of their opening matches, including a 4–2 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday, October 20.

The French club have scored 14 goals and conceded five, giving them a goal difference of plus nine.

Aston Villa are second with nine points, level with PSG but behind on the ranking criteria.

Liverpool occupy third place, also with nine points, after beating Villarreal 4–3 on Tuesday.

Real Madrid and Real Betis complete the top five, with both clubs earning nine points from their opening matches.

VfB Stuttgart and Arsenal follow in sixth and seventh place, respectively, with seven points each.

The league phase will determine which teams advance directly to the round of 16.

The top eight qualify automatically, while teams finishing between ninth and 24th enter the knockout-phase play-offs.

With several matches remaining, PSG lead the standings, but the competition for the top eight places remains open.
