Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has donated 25 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the state Police Command to strengthen security operations and protect lives and property.

AbdulRazaq presented the vehicles to the Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, in Ilorin on Monday.

He said the donation was aimed at helping the police discharge their duties effectively and respond more efficiently to security challenges.

The governor added that the vehicles would improve operational mobility, strengthen visibility patrols and facilitate prompt responses to distress calls and emerging security threats.

Ojo appreciated the governor for the donation and his continued support for the command.

He said the gesture aligned with the operational priorities of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, particularly proactive, intelligence-led policing and improved operational effectiveness.

The commissioner assured that the vehicles would be deployed judiciously to strengthen policing operations and improve service delivery across the state.

He stressed that sustained collaboration between the government and the police remained vital to achieving lasting peace and public safety.

Ojo reiterated the command’s commitment to intensifying crime prevention efforts, improving responses to security threats and ensuring residents’ safety.

He urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to support crime prevention and detection.
