The KMT Foundation has distributed 5,000 school bags to children in Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The foundation made the distribution on Tuesday as part of its “Light Up Yobe Initiative”, which aims to expand access to educational materials across the state.
The foundation’s contact person, Umar Alooma, said the gesture would support education and reduce some of the financial burdens faced by parents.
Alooma said providing school supplies would help ease the responsibilities many parents bear in ensuring their children remain in school.
The foundation regularly distributes free school supplies, educational materials and books to students across local government areas in Yobe, including Fune, Fika, Nangere, Gujba and Gulani.
Through the initiative, it has distributed thousands of school kits and tens of thousands of books to support children’s education.
