The new cast of Netflix’s A Different World sequel brought their Hillman College energy to Coach’s Spring 2027 runway show during New York Fashion Week.

The cast members stepped out in Coach looks for the fashion event, with actors including Kennedi Reece, who plays Hazel Henry, and Jordan Aaron Hall, who plays Amir Rodale, sharing glimpses of their preparations ahead of the show.

Reece opted for a more grunge-inspired look featuring leather, while Hall went for a sleek style built around a leather jacket, matching boots and flared trousers.

Both actors spoke about their looks and preparation for the night in an exclusive behind-the-scenes feature with Essence.

The appearance came as the Netflix sequel prepares to introduce a new generation of students at the fictional historically Black Hillman College.

The series follows Deborah Wayne, the daughter of original characters Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, alongside her fellow students.

Coach’s Spring 2027 collection, designed by Stuart Vevers, marked the American fashion house’s 85th anniversary and drew inspiration from memories, nostalgia and different eras of fashion.

The show took place in New York on September 9, 2026.

The young actors’ appearance at the show brought together two of the season’s prominent cultural moments: the return of A Different World and Coach’s celebration of its long fashion history.
