Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly gained access to urgent medical treatment after his family’s emotional appeal for help sparked widespread concern.

Ogogo’s daughters, Lima and Kira, recently revealed that their father was battling stage-four cancer, appealing to Nigerians and medical professionals to help them find specialists capable of treating him.

They stressed that they were seeking medical assistance rather than financial donations.

The situation has, however, taken a more hopeful turn following the intervention of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

According to actress and filmmaker Toyosi Adesanya, Senator Yayi personally contacted cancer specialists to facilitate urgent treatment for the veteran actor.

Ogogo has now reportedly been admitted for treatment, with reports stating that he was taken to the operating theatre.

The senator had previously supported Ogogo’s family financially, but his latest intervention focused on connecting the actor with the medical specialists needed to manage his condition.

Ogogo’s daughter, Kira, had also disclosed that although the family had secured an Indian visa for their father, he was not medically fit to fly at the time.

Sharing the latest update, Adesanya expressed gratitude for the intervention and urged Nigerians to continue praying for Ogogo’s successful treatment and recovery.

The development has brought a glimmer of hope to Ogogo’s fans, colleagues and family, who had been deeply concerned following the revelation of his health condition.

As treatment continues, Nigerians are rallying around the veteran actor and hoping that the beloved Nollywood star emerges from the health battle stronger and in better health.
