Arsenal started their Premier League title defence in style tonight, cruising to a comfortable 3-0 victory against newly-promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side took control right from the whistle, heading into the break with a two-goal lead before finishing the job early in the second half.
Kai Havertz (15′): Opened the scoring with a clinical finish after early pressure from the Gunners.
Bukayo Saka (23′): Doubled the lead, tapping home from close range after Christos Tzolis’ cross was parried out.
Martin Ødegaard (49′): Sealed all three points right after halftime, slotting home a cutback from Ben White.
Three goals, a clean sheet, and three points in the bag—Arsenal go straight to the top of the table on opening night.
